Yes. No listing fees, no selling fees, no transaction fees. We built this for our community, not to take a cut of your sales.
How do you make money then?
We don't. This is a passion project by Preston & Beth May to give Mineola and East Texas a better local marketplace option.
Do I need an account to browse?
No. Anyone can browse listings. You'll need a free account to bid, buy, sell, or message other users.
Is this safe?
We designed Mineola Market for local, in-person transactions. Buyers and sellers agree on a safe, public meeting spot for item exchanges — police station parking lots, busy retail areas, or other well-lit public places. Trust your instincts; if something feels off, walk away.
What payment methods are accepted?
Cash on pickup is simplest for local deals. Never send payment via wire transfer, gift cards, or cryptocurrency — those are scams.
Can I ship items instead of meeting locally?
Yes. Sellers can choose to offer shipping. Just be sure to calculate accurate shipping costs and communicate clearly with the buyer about timing and tracking.
What can I sell?
Almost anything legal and appropriate: household goods, tools, vehicles, collectibles, handmade items, and more. No weapons, illegal items, or adult content. We reserve the right to remove inappropriate listings.
How do I create a listing?
Click "Sell" in the menu, choose your category, add photos and a description, set your price or starting bid, and publish. Listings go live immediately.
Can I edit or remove my listing?
Yes. You can edit your listing anytime until it receives its first bid. After that, you'll need to contact support for changes. You can end a listing early if needed.
What happens if I win an auction?
You'll receive an email notification. Pay the seller (or arrange pickup), and they should contact you within 48 hours to arrange the exchange. If you don't hear from them, let us know.
What if a buyer doesn't pay?
On Mineola Market, payment happens at pickup for local sales — so non-payment isn't an issue. For shipped items, payment is required before the seller ships. If a deal falls through, relist the item.
How do I leave feedback?
After a transaction completes, both parties can leave feedback through their account dashboard. Be honest and fair — your rating helps build trust in our community.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. We'll email you a reset link.
How do I contact support?
Use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of any page. For urgent issues, include your username and listing ID if applicable.
