🕵️ Before you meet

• Talk on the site first — keep a record of the deal in Mineola Market messages.
• Check the seller's profile — when they joined, their city, and any ratings.
• Trust your gut. Too good a price, pressure to pay fast, or a rushed story? Walk away.

📍 Choose a public meeting spot

• Meet in a busy, well-lit, public place — a store parking lot, coffee shop, or in front of a public building.
• Prefer daylight hours.
• For higher-value items, consider the lobby of a police station or sheriff's office — many offer a safe exchange zone.

🧍 Bring someone or tell someone

• Bring a friend or family member when you can.
• If you go alone, tell someone where you're going and when to expect you back.
• Share your live location with a trusted person during the meet.

💵 During the exchange

• Inspect the item before paying — test it if it can be tested.
• Use cash or a traceable payment. Be cautious of anything that asks for money before you see the item.
• Don't give out your home address unless you're comfortable.
• Never share passwords, PINs, or financial details.

🚨 If something goes wrong

• If you ever feel threatened or unsafe, leave and call 911.
• Report suspicious sellers or listings with the Report button.
• If a crime occurred, contact your local police and share your conversation records.
