What’s New
Everything we have added or improved, newest first — written in plain English, not tech talk. If you have been away a while, this is the short version of what changed.
A green “New” tag on fresh listings
Listings · 3 Nov 2026
So you stop opening things you already looked at.
- Anything posted in the last 3 days now shows a New tag on its picture.
- Sold and reserved items keep their own tag instead, so you never see two tags stacked on one photo.
Older listings get a turn
Listings · 3 Nov 2026
Good stuff was sinking to the bottom and never coming back up.
- The newest 12 items still sit at the top, where you expect them.
- Everything older gets shuffled once a day, so something listed in August can still show up on page one instead of living on page 9 forever.
- The order is the same for everybody all day, so if you find something you can come back later and it will still be there.
“New since your last visit”
Members · 3 Nov 2026
A quick way to see what happened while you were away.
- When you sign in, a small line above the listings tells you how many new items went up since you were last here.
- It only appears when there is actually something new — and it goes away once you have looked.
The community got a big rebuild
Community · 2 Nov 2026
It works more like the apps you already use.
- Posts show as cards with the picture first, not as a list of links.
- Comments open right under the post instead of loading a new page.
- You can reply to a reply, and edit or delete your own comments.
- You get one email per thread when someone answers you, not one per reply.
- Search now digs through every post ever made, not just the recent ones.
- Categories are down the side, and there is one feed instead of a board index to click through.
The unread count actually clears now
Community · 2 Nov 2026
It used to sit there saying “2” no matter what you did.
- Opening a post marks it read, and the number goes down the way it should.
- Your own posts no longer count as unread just because you are the one who wrote them.
- A post that gets deleted no longer leaves a notification stuck behind it.
More than one photo in a post
Community · 2 Nov 2026
Because one picture is rarely enough.
- Up to four photos fit in a neat grid, and any extras show as +3 so you know there is more.
- Tap a photo to see it full size without leaving the page.
New replies show up without refreshing
Community · 2 Nov 2026
You no longer have to keep hitting reload to see if anyone answered.
- A small count appears when someone replies while you are reading.
- It pauses while you are typing, so nothing jumps around mid-sentence.
Store pages show off what is in stock
Stores · 2 Nov 2026
A storefront should look like a storefront.
- Banner, rating and opening details at the top, then the items.
- A “showcase” row puts the store’s best few items right at the top of the page.
Pages load faster
Speed · 2 Nov 2026
Mostly you notice it on a phone with a weak signal.
- A big chunk of behind-the-scenes code was trimmed, so the page arrives sooner.
- The home page shows the same thing, it just gets there quicker.
“View more” keeps your place
Listings · 2 Nov 2026
Scrolling through a lot of listings used to feel like starting over.
- The next batch is added under what you are already looking at.
- Your filters and search stay exactly where they were.
Finished events stop hanging around
Events · 31 Oct 2026
Nothing worse than showing up to something that already happened.
- An event disappears from the Upcoming list once it is over.
- It still shows on the calendar for that day, so the history stays put.
- Multi-day events stay until the last day ends.
Photos upload faster and stay sharp
Listings · 29 Oct 2026
Big camera photos used to take forever on a phone.
- Your phone shrinks the photo before sending it, so posting takes seconds even on a weak signal.
- The picture still looks sharp on the listing.
Live auctions
Auctions · 29 Oct 2026
A whole new way to sell, alongside the normal listings.
- List something with a starting price and a closing time.
- Members bid on it, and the highest bid when it closes wins.
- A countdown shows how long is left, so nobody misses the end.
Easier to read, on every screen
Accessibility · 29 Oct 2026
Faint grey text on a white page is hard on everyone.
- Text contrast was checked and fixed across every page, in all 19 colour themes.
- Dark mode, high contrast and phone screens all got the same treatment.
- Screen readers now announce pages and controls properly.
A leaderboard for every game
Games · 24 Aug 2026
Because a high score nobody can see is just a number.
- Every game has its own top-scores list, ranked highest first.
- Each person appears once, with their best score — a bad round never drags your name down.
- Beat your best and the board updates; the games page shows the top few at a glance.
21 free arcade games
Games · 24 Aug 2026
Something to do while you wait for a reply.
- Classics: Pac-Man, Asteroids, Frogger, Space Invaders, Galaxian, Centipede, Tetris, Breakout, Pong, Missile Command, Snake, Flappy, Doodle Jump.
- Think-y ones: Sudoku, Minesweeper, Memory, Simon, Pyramid.
- Board games: Checkers and Connect 4.
- They run right in the browser — nothing to download, no account besides the one you already have.
Chat rooms
Chat · 21 Aug 2026
For the quick stuff that does not need a whole post.
- Public rooms you can drop into, plus rooms you make yourself and invite people to.
- Share a listing straight into a chat, so the other person sees the photo and price instead of a link to copy.
- Reply to a message, add a reaction, or send a photo.
- See who is in the room and when someone is typing.
- Block or report someone; moderators can step in, and every moderation action is logged.
- The chat bubble in the header follows you around the site, so a message does not get missed.
